Invisalign®

Invisalign® is a technology that allows tooth alignment without wearing braces. For decades, traditional braces were the only option for adults who wanted straighter teeth. The Invisalign® System™ offers the first true alternative, by utilizing advances in 3-D imaging technology to create a series of customized clear plastic aligners.

It begins with a visit to obtain impressions of your teeth which are then sent to Invisalign®™, along with precise treatment instructions which are determined by Dr. Barron, Dr. Solomon or Dr. Davis. Invisalign®™ uses its proprietary computer technology to create a sequence of finely-calibrated clear plastic aligners - as few as 10 or as many as 48, depending on your particular case. You'll wear each aligner for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next, your teeth will move-little by little, week by week-until they reach the final alignment that the doctor has prescribed.

How to Determine If Invisalign® Is Right For You

To ensure the best possible results, only a specialist who has been trained and certified by Align Technology can diagnose and treat using Invisalign®™. It is usually not intended for children and is not appropriate for every adult. It is primarily used on adults for minor alignment procedures and is not yet effective for more sever cases requiring extensive jaw movement. Only a certified specialist can determine if this treatment is an effective option for you. For more information, you can visit the Invisalign® website.
